Team of students jurists from ULIM, winner of an interuniversity competition, organized by Constitutional Court
A team of students of Law Faculty, coordinated by Dr. Serghei Turcan, the head of Law Public Department, was declared winner of an interuniversity competition, organized for the first time by the Constitutional court of Moldova with the support of EUE. The future jurists tried their powers before a panel of judges, composed of international jurists and judges of Constitutional Court of Moldova. The team was composed of Irina Buzu, Ana Indoitu, Roman Maican and Adrian Gamarta-Esanu.
The competitors had the task to participate in the simulation of cases identical those examined by the Constitutional Court of Moldova. At the beginning of the competition, there were drawn lots and the students represented members of parliament, ministers, lawyers and other implicated parties. Teams of students from eight higher education institutions from the Republic of Moldova participated – ASEM, ULIM, USM, USEM, USPEE “Constantin Stere” din Chisinau, State University “Alecu Russo” of Balti, State University “Bogdan Petriceicu Hasdeu” of Cahul and State University of Comrat.
